These Whitening Strips Made My Teeth Brighter in 30 Minutes

I'm a 2024 bride, and one of my biggest concerns is maintaining a pearly-white smile for the big day. What I was concerned about was tooth sensitivity. However, after giving the strips a try, I can confidently say they left me with almost no discomfort — not to mention, that my teeth looked amazing.

Whitening strips I've tried in the past have left me with a pretty nasty taste in my mouth, forcing me to spit out built-up saliva every minute or so. However, with the Lumineux Teeth Whitening Strips, I didn't have that problem. As I mentioned earlier, sensitivity was at the top of my mind when testing this product. I was not looking forward to days of tooth pain when drinking cold water and eating hot dishes, but luckily, I didn't have any issues. After my first treatment, I had soup for lunch and experienced almost no sensitivity. I think that's all thanks to the brand's stellar formulation and the inclusion of gentler ingredients like coconut oil, dead sea salt, and lemon peel oil.

After just one use, I truly couldn't believe how much whiter my teeth looked. Seriously, these before and after pictures are just 30 minutes apart. How wild is that?

I honestly forgot they were even in my mouth until my alarm reminded me. That just goes to show how great these strips are — I didn't have a funky taste in my mouth, feel the strips slipping, or even notice any sensitivity. When I removed the strips, I had a lot of the gel-like product stuck to the front of my teeth so I grabbed some toilet paper, rubbed it away, then brushed my teeth. You can also probably just rinse your mouth out with water, but I wanted to make sure I got everything nice and clean.

As far as treatment frequency goes, Lumineux says you can apply the strips every day for seven days, and after that, continue with one or two times a week to keep up with maintenance.

As someone with sensitive teeth myself, I can attest that this treatment should work for most people. That said, if you know you're prone to sensitivity, I'd recommend starting with a shorter treatment time and working your way up to the full 30 minutes recommended.

It's also worth noting that if you're looking for an option you can use on the go, this might not be your best bet. I say that only because of my experience with removing the strips and the fact that there was still residue leftover on my teeth that needed to be brushed off. However, if you have access to a toothbrush or even some water, go for it. And yes, I absolutely plan on using these when I get married (my fiancé tried them too, and loved them).
