I think she should lose her visitation rights only to have them slowly reinstated as she can prove that she is following the steps of a court ordered treatment plan. She clearly has mental stability issues that need to be addressed before she can care for her children. She needs psychiatric care as well as substance abuse treatment. If and when visitiation is reinstated it should be at a neutral location - they have child care centers for this - and with supervision.

I don't think it's fair to say she shouldn't ever be able to parent them again - regardless of what changes she makes in her life and what help she gets for her issues. At the moment, I don't think she should have any visitation rights. But, I'm hopeful that she'll get treatment and pull herself back together.

I think she should get the psychological help she needs, then she can get her visitation rights back. But right now, I don't think she is fit to be a mother to her two boys.

She should only get her rights back if she gets professional help and gets healthy. I am hopeful she can do it. Her boys do need her and she must be lost without them. I know I would be.

This should be more about what's best for the children and not what's best for just the parents. It's up to social services and doctors to decide and work with both Britney and Kevin to make sure the children have safe and stable environments where they're with their family.

I don't think she should be able to traumatize her children anymore until she gets some help for her mental issues. Until then, I think they are better off with a more stable person, such as their father or grandparents.

Every child deserves their mother. How could people look at the glas half full. Yet you have a father who has 4 other children with another woman and chooses not to even recognize his kids.

Personally, if they take her kids away I am sure of seeing Britney commit suicide. If anyone took my kids away I don't know what to do.

what you do need, are stable adults around to take care of you. whether that is your biological mother or not.

britney needs to freaking grow the f' up, and if she doesn't, then she shouldn't be given the responsibility of taking care of her own kids

she is unstable and makes poor choices so there needs to be concern here. i think her kids are too young to know what she's doing and hopefully she will get her act together before they are old enough to realize all of her issues or be affected by them. studies have shown that children have no memory of parents who die if they die before the childs 5th birthday so i think the same is probably true of brits actions to date.

the kids always look so unhappy when they are with her and yet the parent monitor said they are both bonded to her. i think the visits should continue ONLY in a nutural, monitered setting for say 2 hours twice a week and that includes a meal and structured play activities.

we're all just watching her sort of circle the drain. and apparently there isn't anyone in a position to help brit (commit her to a psych facility) that's willing to do so.

so much shame about mental illness in this country. the real shame is not getting the help you need.

it seems to me that Britney doesn't even know what is best for herself right now, let alone what's best for her children. she doesn't seem to make much of an effort. she does seem unstable and untill she deals with her own issues she should not be caring for her young children.

however, I wouldn't deny a birth parent their right to see thier children. it should be in a familiar setting for them and should be short, sweet, and supervised.

although Kevin probably wouldn't win father or the year any time soon, he appears to have more sense than Britney lately as afr as caring for the kids goes. they need to be in a safe, stable, and secure environment.

the children are so young, but all the moving around and confusion must be tough on them. I really feel for those poor boys. living in the spotlight at such a young age must be tough on them, especially the older one. he is old enough to understand that things are not going well w/ his mom. they are surrounded by negative media...it's a really sad situation.

Being a parent is a privilege, not a right. Just because she gave birth to those two boys does not mean she has the ability to parent them.

I have felt, from the very beginning of all of this, that Britney wants to lose custody. She wants her old life back. She's immature and weak, two things you can't be as a parent.

I think she should lose temporary custody of her boys. My sister was in a bad spot a few years ago and my mother took care of her daughters. It was really the only way my sister could focus on getting her head straight.

Britney Spears needs to get some help and soon, she is out of control and those kids are better off with out her. I am a firm believer that children should be with their mothers and all of that but she is acting like she doesn't even care about them or what happens to them and that is sad. Maybe when she gets some help and they can take care of themselves they should be given back to her but not until then.

i heard on the radio this morning that brit offered fed-ex $100 million dollars to "give" her the kids and walk away forever and that is when he called his attorney and the whole thing started that ended with her in the hospital. also that fed-ex told police that brit has 2 hand guns in the house, including one that he bought her for protection. so you know this could get a whole lot worse.

oh, and also that she called here sister that same night and screamed at her "you're not going to be the only spears on the cover of magazines this week". how can that even be true? i dunno folk i just repeat what i hear. (101.3 the dish, san fran).

I dont think those kids should be with her alone, or in a car, she could have visitation but only supervised. Thier lives are at stake, and so is hers for that matter. She WANTS Them to be taken away

I think that right now Britney's not in her right mind. She married an opportunist who never took any interest in his first two children with Shar Jackson. All of a sudden, he is getting terrific PR as a "great father" to his 2 boys with Britney. I'm sure that has helped add to her instability at the moment. (All I see of K-Fed are pictures of him at clubs with drinks and cigarettes in his hand looking like he's having a great time......Who's with the kids then??)

In any case, what's important is that Britney steps away from her kids, for now. Having them witness all of the hysterics that went along with being strapped down to a gurney and being whisked away to the hospital, well, that doesn't help much. What is REALLY IMPORTANT is the physical and mental well-being of these two innocent children. I don't believe that they are safe with her. She needs to get herself clean and sober and into rehab or a program. These kids need her, she's their mommy, but they don't need her like this. And they deserve to be protected from harm.

I really hope that she gets the help that she needs. It's a long road back, but I think that she can make it if she really gives an effort. People really want to see her well again and back on track. She can do it. Good luck Britney!

Yeah, well, if the father of your baby is now worth MILLIONS of dollars, (because of what he got from his famous ex-wife), if he said that the earth was square and the sun was freezing cold, maybe you'd agree? And I also remember reading that he "no-showed" at one kid's b-day party. Doesn't sound like a "good father" to me.

I think that $$$ can make someone very attractive to some people. I don't think that she'd be wise to go around bad-mouthing him if she wants anything from him. (Which she DOES deserve, by the way.)
