There's some good news for women wishing to be with child according to a study published in the British Medical Journal. Research showed that acupuncture might increase the chances of infertility treatments working since for every ten IVF cycles done with the healing method, there was an extra pregnancy. A BBC article about the recent findings said:
Acupuncture has been used for centuries in China to regulate female fertility, and in recent years, scientists have been looking at whether it could boost IVF chances.

I did accupuncture while going through an IVF cycle, and it was successful on the first attempt. Going through IVF can be very stressful, and I found that when I left accupuncture I felt rejuvinated and completely relaxed. My point is that with or without scientific connections to its benefit with IVF, I think the relaxation part alone was worth doing and I would recommend it to anyone. My accupuncturist actually thought I should try the accupuncture alone for infertility, which I hadn't even thought of and was already down the IVF road when I started, but it is probably worth trying.
